In a security breachnice88, a man entered at the shooting set of Bollywood actor Salman's next film on Wednesday and threatened his bodyguard using the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Police later detained the man.
According to PTI, Khan was not present on the set in Mumbai's Shivaji Park area on Wednesday when the incident took place.
Police later informed that the accused was a junior artist working in the film industry against whom a non-cognisable or 'NC' complaint was registered. In legal terms, a non-cognizable case prohibits police from registering a First Information Report (FIR) or arresting any person unless instructed by a court.
About the incidentOn Wednesday, one of Salman Khan's bodyguards stopped the man once he entered the set and asked him the reason behind his visit. This led to an argument before the accused threatened him using Bishnoi's name, as per the complaint.
Shivaji Park police took the man in custody and registered an NC case for alleged criminal intimidation under section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The preliminary probe revealed that the accused and the bodyguard knew each other and they had some dispute, the official said.

Earlier as well the 58-year-old actor received multiple threats from the Bishnoi gang. Two members of the gang allegedly opened fire outside his residence here in April this year. Panvel police arrested the shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, in Gujarat. Later, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the incident.
According to a report by India Today, the shooters of veteran NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was murdered nearly two months ago, had planned to kill actor Salman Khan first.
On October 12, Siddique was shot dead outside the Bandra East office of his son, Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai when three assailants opened fire at him.

Besides the one claimed by the Bishnoi gang, several other instances have been reported as well where people issued threats to Salman Khan in the name of the jailed gangster.
In October, police apprehended a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur for threatening Salman Khan and demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore. Within a few days, the popular actor received a fresh death threat from an unknown person, who demanded a Rs 2 crore ransom.
Mumbai Police also arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida in connection with a threat call to Salman Khan.nice88
